BIO
Whilst grounded in the disciplines of drawing and painting, Christine Wylie’s practice has diversified in recent years to encompass the use of a wide range of media including video and photography, as well as printmaking. It is work that can be characterised as being reductive and highly formal, which belies its complicated fabrication. Her series of photogravure prints is the culmination of a process-based methodology, where self-constructed geometric compositions combine with natural light to create images that suggest presence and absence, space and non-space.
