Emma Fitzpatricks’ work draws influence from people, architecture and landscapes. She is interested in the theme of change over time and reflecting on man’s inventiveness in creating environments to live in whether they be busy cityscapes or remote country landscapes.

Emmas’ work revolves around drawing, painting and printmaking.  She works with a variety of media including etching, mono printing, watercolour, charcoal and pastel. Her work is both studio based and en plein air.

Emma has been further developing her work as a printmaker during 2020 after being awarded a ‘Develop Your Creative Practice’ grant from Arts Council England.

Emma is a member of Leicester Society of Artists, Leicester Print Workshop and Leicester Sketch Club.

Since 2015, she has shown her work in a variety of shows including the annual exhibition of the Royal Society of British Artists, Graphic Society of Fine Art, Society of Women Artists, Leicester Society of Artists, Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin, several RBSA exhibitions, Derby Print Open and has shown locally in Leicester at the Cank Street Gallery.

She is a founder member of several community groups including Urban Sketchers Leicester, Virtual Sketch Leicester, Midlands Printmakers, Leicestershire Art Alliance and West End Creatives Leicester.
